Let's start this with a win: Roger Federer wins 8th Halle title

Roger Federer wins a record 8th title at the Gerry Weber Open in Halle by defeating Andreas Seppi 7-6 (1), 6-4.

The Swiss world number two moved very well during this match even though he faced a couple of break points from Seppi in the first set.

It's a good sign again with Federer winning this pre-Wimbledon tournament as he makes the transition from the clay courts of the recent French Open where he lost in the quarterfinals to countryman and eventual winner Stanislas Wawrinka.

In last year's Wimbledon, Federer came short against current world number one Novak Djokovic in the final round.
